About Me:

MUSIC.

Interests:

MUSIC., LIVE concerts., random immensley interesting conversations., laughing., writing., dancing around., Art. Not the art scene., Love. Not the love scene., Fantasy., Reality., warm sand., bodies of water., yummy smelling candles., green.purple.blue.pink.black.white.grey or gray.magenta.candy apple red.chocolate brown, Chocolate.

Favorite Music:

If you must know, I LOVE:, Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional (angst is not limited to teens/their live show vibe cannot be denied and their drummer is fabulous-->so suck it!), FOO FIGHTERS, Sublime, the big Snoop Dogg(an icon and a gentleman), RAGE against the machine, Bargain Music, NIN, Project 44(my scary side indulges itself in their enrgetic live shows), Jay Davis Trio, Ben Folds, The Fray, Marley(Bob, the original), Damian Jr Gong Marley, Ziggy Marley The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, 311, Kill Hannah, the cult, the cure, indeed a good portion of 80's music will always have a place in my heart and I will give a little listen to any eyeliner bands..., Alkaline trio, Morcheeba, Theivery Corporation, Massive attack, Curious, joy division, she wants revenge, Story of the Year, newer bands that I am not willing to commit to my favorites until I have fallen in love with at least 2 of their albums, I could go on all day, but that is not what pays the bills...I wish it was.Dave Grohl is fantastic., the EXIT, OK, to contradict the afore mentioned: I am adding The Exit to my list of music LOVES after falling head over heels for their album "Home for an Island" and seeing them live...among other elements, their drummer is phenomenal! The Agency--ditto for this band on my last comment(you love the word "ditto" admit it. Postal Service, Death Cab, Damien Rice, Fiona Apple, Weezer, SWV, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kwali, NAS(I used to know almost every word to God's Son), De La Soul, The Roots, the Nappy Roots, Marvin Gaye, Al Greene, Jimi H., Jill Scott, India Arie, Floetry, Black eyed Peas, Third eye blind(I can't lie eventhough some will judge--1st album especially), dovetail joint, Chevelle, Nightmare of You (I'm almost as obsessed as they are), I promised myself I'd lay off the mycrack and stop editing the music section, but after Gold Lion, I had to make damn sure THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS were in this damn thing...that reminds me...Taking Back Sunday, Matchbook Romance, My Chemical Romance, Diamond nights, plain white t's(The best quote EVER-->"why's it always gotta be the white t's?"), thrice, thursday, breaking benjamin, One handed Molly--who I miss dearly, The Gravity Darling, John Legend, Kanye West, Corinne Bailey Rae, Si Se, Bjork, Radiohead, Cold Play, SilverSun Pickups (am currently loving them) Monsters Are Waiting, Giant Drag, What song do I listen almost every day: "Crazy" by the incomparable Ms. Patsy Cline (I like to listen to the original after listening to the cover by Norah Jones), Labels I like: Island Def Jam, Vagrant, SaddleCreek, Geffen, Invisible!, Trying to list all the music I love in arial font in this magically expanding box is absolutely futile---I guess it's like trying to map out my heart* yeah, that was cheesy but that's what the star is for. Feel free to judge me by this magically expanding text box...I'll do the same--> it is a fun little game us humans like to play...Actually, I hate that fact that Elitists have to taint everything and music snobs are just snobs in general. Who Am I to judge what music is good...better yet, who are you? Despite that ideological tangent I just went off on, you probably won't catch me hanging out with the president of Britney Spears' fan club., Umm...Have I mentione Rocco Deluca and the Burden, AIR, Les Nubians, Robin Thicke, young Jeezy (Geezy..sp?)...whatever, I LOVE IT, uh!

Favorite Movies:

Dirty Dancing "nobody puts baby in the corner!", how about more music:, 05/06-- I can't stop listening to:, The Exit., Nightmare of You., Giant Drag., The Gravity Darling., 10-06--> My mini-obsession with the music of Monsters Are Waiting has progressed to a full-blown affliction...I'm fascinated. Also it seems as though a few from tracks The Gravity Darling have taken on new meaning for me...it's funny how music is like that., 11-14-06, Silversun Pickups, are WAAY better than I ever knew, really into their new album....broke out the Under the Influence of Giants EP after retiring it for awhile(due to over play...I OD on good music like favorite foods and then have to take a break)UTIOG sounds just as good in Hollywood, FL as in Hollywood, CA. Also re-rocking to my Nightmare of You disc, which by the way, is skipping (yes, I have heard of the digital music revolution, but I am clinging to the old school for as long as I can...)

Favorite TV Shows:

Don't have a lot of time for this brain-melting box, but I have been known to indulge---, MY NAME IS EARL--Jason L was always cool and a great skater, but this show makes him even more endearing as a trashy, ner-do-well who's trying to fix things and get in the good graces of Karma. If that really worked I'm sure we'd see a surge in baby-kissing and people helping little old ladies cross the street (does anyone do that anymore? It seems to me this has the potential to induce a lawsuit---sad but true), LOVE: Entourage, Grey's Anatomy, PRISON BREAK (convicts never looked so appealing, I wonder if Pen Pals to prison have increased since this show aired, Project Runway...HGTV_VH1(I've accepted that I am now right, smack in the middle of this demographic "I Love the 80's-->Strikes Back!"

Favorite Books:

Is this the section where I list a series of titles depending on how I want to be perceived? Hmm..., The Nancy Drew Series
